Australian & International Collaborations

The Australian Stroke Clinical Registry is a multidisciplinary collaborative project undertaken by two leading academic research institutes:

  • the National Stroke Research Institute, and
  • The George Institute for Global Health

and two leading national governance organisations:

  • the National Stroke Foundation, and
  • the Stroke Society of Australasia.

A grant from the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care and Allergan Australia to test the “Operating Principles and Technical Standards for Australian Quality Clinical Registries” during 2009, assisted in the establishment of the web-based tool and data collection.
